 Goi Goi Pillow

This is Samuel laying on his new Goi Goi pillow, it is a Swedish design made to help reduce 'flat' head syndrome. Please click here for more info
This is something that all babies can suffer with, but as Down's children are prown to low muscle tone, and Samuel particularly likes laying with his head to the right, this pillow  was recommended by his physiotherapist who visits Samuel at home every month, Samuel certainly seems to like it. he has a smaller one for laying on the floor, especially for when watching his favourite TV programme 'Something Special' on BBC CBeebies, and a larger one which fits nicely in his cot.

Forward Facing Pushchair

We have recently bought second-hand Samuel a forward facing pushchair, there are several on the market but we favoured the Bebe Confort Loola as it folds down very efficiently in an umbrella fashion and fits easily in even a standard hatchback boot.

This allows Samuel to face us and its lovely seeing his smiling face when you talk to him, especially important for a child with some hearing loss as signing would not be possible with the child facing the other way, as it would involve frequent stops taking much more time.
